I have been actively climbing and mountaineering from a young age and have been working full time as an instructor since leaving college. In 2002 I setup Dragon Mountain Skills, as a company, which delivered mountain skills courses year round in Snowdonia, North Wales.
During this time I have also worked for a wide range of companies and organisations from the military through to equipment manufacturers, schools, corporate groups, television, film and various safety projects. My work and play has taken me to some very interesting places in the world, from the hot deserts of the Middle East to the cold of Canada during the winter and the Arctic Circle.
I am a qualified with the MIA (Mountaineering Instructor Award) and also hold the MLW (Mountain Leader Winter Award). This means I am qualified and insured to work on all aspects of summer mountaineering and also winter skills courses. I am also a full member of the AMI, MLTA and an approved Course Provider for Mountain Leader Training Wales.
In the past I was committee member for the AMI (Association of Mountaineering Instructors), which is the representative body for mountaineering instructors in the UK.
During my spare time I serve as a volunteer for the Llanberis Mountain Rescue team, which looks after the Snowdon area of the Snowdonia National Park, and is currently one of the busiest mountain rescue teams in the UK.
I look forward to working with soon,
